Pine Creek 2021
On Wednesday, Sept. 22nd Kent Johnson and I met over at Pine Creek in SW Wisconsin to "see what we could see" and try to get a few good images. Below are the top grabs.
Kent also caught some nice trout including a 12" Brown while I tried, with no success, to get a shot of a trout taking the fly.
Pine Squirrels are native to North America. they eat a wide variety of food include fungi, plants, nuts (especially peanuts in my backyard!) and arthropods (spiders for example).

Checkered-Skipper Butterflies are found in the northern United States and parts of Canada

The Drone Fly is a widely distributed species around the globe. They look like a male honeybee and feed on pollen and are an important pollenator. They do NOT have a stinger.

The Western Honeybee is the most common of the 12 species of honeybees. It is commonly maintained by beekeepers and lives on every continent except Antarctica.
