Trumpeter Swans

A "composite" of two shots taken only a few minutes apart. A little fun with Photoshop!

"Birds in Flight" (BIF) images are really tough to get even with a big bird! You have to make a lot of changes for shutter speed, depth of field and most importantly the focus mode settings to get the shot. I tried for 4 evenings to get it right, before finally getting this shot.

After a LOT of reading, watching education videos, and PRACTICE, I was able to get an entire sequence of shots of the Trumpeters coming into the spring pond for the evening. Everything has to be perfect before you take the shots!
